  • The Subcommittee will discuss the ongoing development by the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research of the TRAC/RELAP Advanced Computational Engine (TRACE). This is an advanced nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulic systems analysis computer code, which is intended to replace several other, more specialized reactor analytical
    tools.

  • The Subcommittee will discuss the "LOCA failure analysis and frequency estimation" developed by the staff in response to the Commission's March 31, 2003, Staff Requirements Memorandum on recommendations for risk informed changes to 10 CFR 50.46, "Acceptance Criteria for Emergency Core Cooling Systems for Light-Water Nuclear Power Reactors."

  • The Subcommittee will review the updates to draft Standard Review Plan Chapter 18, "Human Factors Engineering."

  • The Subcommittee will review the V. C. Summer Nuclear plant license renewal application and the NRC staff's draft Safety Evaluation Report.

  • The Subcommittee will discuss proposed ACRS activities and related matters. A portion of this meeting may be closed pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552b(c) (2) and (6) to discuss organizational and personnel matters that relate solely to internal personnel rules and practices of ACRS, and information the release of which would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.
