Laboratory Description and Project area:

We are developing an operating room of the future with multiple navigation, visualization and automation projects including magnetic tracking of instruments (mini-GPS on devices), a visualization 3D display orb, fusing ultrasound and CT scans, and a robot that does point and click needle insertions for procedures such as radiofrequency ablation (cooking tumors with needles). Many variations of projects available to work on in areas of interest.
