How Can ORA U Help Me?

In an organization like the FDA, the skills and knowledge of the workforce are among our greatest assets. Continuous learning and professional development are key to keeping yourself and your organization on the leading edge. Courses offered through ORA U will enhance your personal growth while creating value for your organization.

A detailed training and development plan is imperative in order for FDA and state and local regulators to continue to meet their regulatory responsibilities. Regulators must be competent in conducting inspections, performing analysis, and taking compliance actions as needed. Regulators must also be knowledgeable about the industries being regulated and be skilled in communicating and influencing others. ORA U will help you meet these needs.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are a new initiative for ORA U and will be offered for many courses beginning in October 2001. (See specific course description for details.) In the future, CEUs will be required for re-certification under FDA’s Investigator Certification Program.

If you are an investigator or other regulatory staff member, regardless of whether you are employed by the FDA or state or local government, ORA U will give you access to training in a timely and resource-efficient manner. ORA U will help you overcome obstacles – such as time, money, and slot allocations – that keep you from getting the training you want and need.
