(PA 96-018)
This research grant program addresses the unique risk and protective factors
of specific underserved populations. The Institute is seeking research that
will identify risk and protective factors associated with cultural and/or
gender value systems and life experiences and develop and test comprehensive,
theory-based preventive interventions for minority populations and women.
The interventions should be sensitive to cultural or gender norms or needs
and should focus on the strengths of cultural systems in the family and
community.

Rebecca Ashery, NIDA, 6001 Executive Blvd, Bethesda, Maryland 20892,
