News Release: Surplus Equipment Auction

Eureka, March 21, 2007

The public is invited to attend an oral auction at the Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson on Friday, April 13, 2007, at 9 a.m., where used Forest Service surplus vehicles will be sold.

Approximately 389 items, including trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, mechanical tools and supplies, and miscellaneous parts will be sold to the highest bidder. Anyone interested in bidding at the auction must register Friday, April 13, between the hours of 8 to 9 a.m., in the Shasta Hall building of the Fairgrounds.

The auction will be held at the Shasta District Fairgrounds, Shasta Hall building, 1890 Briggs Street, Anderson. Auctioning will begin with bidding - sale and title transfer taking place on site. Vehicles will NOT be available for public viewing the day of the sale. Auction vehicles and parts are available for public viewing from Monday, April 9, through Thursday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily at the following locations:

Sale brochures may be picked up at the inspection sites on viewing dates and on the day of sale at the Shasta District Fairgrounds.
