News Release: Government Vehicle Auction

Eureka, April 3, 2006

The public is invited to attend an oral auction at the Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson on Friday, April 14, 2006, at 9 a.m., where used USDA Forest Service vehicles will be sold.

Approximately 138 items, including trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, and miscellaneous parts, will be sold to the highest bidder. Anyone interested in bidding at the auction must register Friday, April 14, between the hours of 8 to 9 a.m., in the Shasta Hall building of the Fairgrounds.

The auction will be held at the Shasta District Fairgrounds, Shasta Hall building, 1890 Briggs Street, Anderson. Auctioning will begin with bidding - sale and title transfer taking place on site. Vehicles will NOT be available for public viewing the day of the sale. Auction vehicles and parts are available for public viewing from Monday, April 10, through Thursday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily at the following locations:

Sale brochures may be picked up at the inspection sites on viewing dates and on the day of sale at the Shasta District Fairgrounds.
