Current Portfolio/Responsibilities:

Manages the Clinical Trials research portfolio. This portfolio encompasses multicenter

and pilot and feasibility clinical grants and cooperative agreements in chronic and acute

digestive diseases, particularly diseases of the alimentary tract and the liver. Serves as

scientific advisor on clinical studies and human rights protection. Project Scientist for

the Biliary Atresia Research Consortium (BARC); Pegylated Interferon +/- Ribavirin in

Children with HCV (Peds-C); Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis Clinical Research

Network (NASH CRN); Study of Viral Resistance to Antiviral Therapy of Hepatitis C

(Virahep-C); Randomized Trial of Rosiglitazone for Ulcerative Colitis; Multi-site Trial

of Azathioprine Dosing in Crohn’s Disease; Cholestatic Liver Disease Consortium

(CLiC); Acute Liver Failure Study Group (ALFSG); Pediatric Acute Liver Failure

Study Group (PALF); A Multicenter Randomized Trial of High Dose URSO in PSC;

and, Functional Dyspepsia Treatment Trial (FDTT).
