The Commission was briefed by the NRC staff on its comprehensive action plan to address security issues in the Agency=s materials programs. The staff should provide the Commission with an estimate of the number of general license devices that are Category 3 or greater. The Commission will provide specific direction to the staff in its Staff Requirements Memorandum on the plan submitted for Commission approval in SECY-07-0147, AResponse to U.S. Government Accountability Office Recommendations and Other Recommendations to Address Security Issues in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Materials Program.”
