[9:25 a.m.] P R O C E E D I N G S CHAIRMAN KLEIN: Madam Secretary, I believe we have some affirmations today. Would you please proceed? ANNETTE VIETTI-COOK: The first item is Pacific Gas and Electric Company Diablo Canyon Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation. The Commission is being asked to act on a Memorandum and Order as an initial determination on the admissibility of contentions raised by the San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace in the Diablo Canyon independent spent fuel storage installation proceeding. The Commission has voted to approve a Memorandum and Order which admits Contentions 1(b) and 2 in part, declines to admit Contentions 1(a), 3, 4, and 5 and sets a procedural schedule. Commissioner Jaczko dissented in part because he would have also admitted contention 3. Commissioner Lyons dissented in part because he would have rejected contention 2. Would you please affirm your votes? CHAIRMAN KLEIN: Aye. COMMISSIONER JACZKO: Aye. COMMISSIONER LYONS: Aye. ANNETTE VIETTI-COOK: The second item is on Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station license renewal. The Commission is being asked to act on a Memorandum and Order responding to a request by Pilgrim Watch for interlocutory review of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board’s summary disposition of one of two contentions in the license renewal proceeding for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station. The Commission has voted to approve a Memorandum and Order which denies the request for interlocutory review. Would you please affirm your votes? CHAIRMAN KLEIN: Aye. COMMISSIONER JACZKO: Aye. COMMISSIONER LYONS: Aye. ANNETTE VIETTI-COOK. That’s all I have. Thank you. HAIRMAN KLEIN: Any comments? Meeting’s adjourned. Thank you. CERTIFICATE
