The Commission was briefed by the members of the Independent External Panel to Identify Vulnerabilities in the U.S. NRC's Materials Licensing Program on the Panel's final report and recommendations. At its briefing on materials licensing and security scheduled on April 30, 2008, the staff should discuss its plan for incorporating these recommendations into its action plan for enhancing radioactive materials security.
