          CHAIRMAN JACKSON:  Good afternoon.  This is an
affirmation session.  We have one item to come before us
this afternoon.  Before I ask the Secretary to lead us
through the item for affirmation, do any of my fellow
Commissioners have any opening comments?
          [No response.]
          CHAIRMAN JACKSON:  Mr. Secretary, please proceed.
          MR. HOYLE:  The item is SECY-97-24.  The
Commission in this paper is being asked to act on an order
responding to the Louisiana Energy Services and the NRC
staff's petitions for Commission review of the Atomic Safety
and Licensing Board's Partial Initial Decision in the
Claiborne Enrichment Center case, LBP-96-25.
          Each of you here present has voted to approve the
attached order granting the petitions for review and
indicating to the Board that a final order is expected by
May 1 of this year.
          I will mention that Commissioners Dicus and Diaz
also voted to approve this order.
          May I ask you to affirm your votes.
          CHAIRMAN JACKSON:  Aye.
          COMMISSIONER ROGERS:  Aye.
          COMMISSIONER McGAFFIGAN:  Aye.
