The Commission was briefed by the licensee, the contractors for the independent corrective action verification programs (ICAVP) for units 2 and 3, the independent contractor performing third party oversight of the employee concerns program, and the NRC staff on the progress in assessing readiness for restart of the nuclear power reactors at the Millstone site.
The Commission agreed with the staff's recommendation to submit monthly reports to keep the Commission appraised of the licensee's progress in preparing to restart the Millstone units. The next Commission briefing should be planned for the mid-February time frame.

As the Millstone units proceed toward their respective restarts, the staff should reassess and reallocate, as appropriate, the resources necessary to conduct oversight of Millstone restart activities. Results from this reassessment should be reported to the Commission.
