Revised FFY 1999 CCDF Data Tables and Charts
The FFY-1999 statistics have been revised since the preliminary FFY-1999 results were posted to the Child Care Bureau Web Site on February 15, 2001. The FFY-1999 statistics have been updated because many States have reported updated information, including California. When the preliminary FFY-1999 results were made available, California had only reported three-months of FFY-1999 ACF-801 data (required monthly case-level reporting from each state). Thus, the number of families and children served in California were estimated based on an understanding of the ACF-696 (required quarterly financial reports from each state) and from the 3-months of available California ACF-801 data. California has now instituted a new electronic data collection system, which along with the 12-months of its data now available, and the ACF-696 financial data, has facilitated the development of substantially improved and revised estimates of the average number of families and children served in California for FFY-1999 and FFY-2000. Similar improved estimates have been developed for Maine. The actual counts in other states have been revised because many states have resubmitted their data and/or revised their pooling factor.Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF)
