CHAIRMAN MESERVE: Good morning. Before we get to the business of the day, we do have an affirmation session that we need to complete. Madam Secretary, could you lead us through the affirmation? THE SECRETARY: Yes. The Commission is being asked to act on a memorandum and order responding to petitions to intervene and requests for hearing filed by Citizens Awareness Network and the Vermont Department of Public Service, and also ruling on various CAN motions related to the proposed transfer of the Vermont Yankee facility from the Vermont Yankee Power Corporation to Amergen Vermont, LLC. The Commission has voted to approve a memorandum and order which denies CAN's petition to intervene and request for hearing, denies Vermont's petition for intervene and request for hearing, dismisses as moot CAN's various requests for stay of the instant proceeding, denies CAN's motion that any hearing be conducted under 10 CFR, Part 2, subpart G, and terminates this adjudicatory proceeding. Would you please affirm your votes? [Chorus of ayes.] THE SECRETARY: That's all I have. Thank you. CHAIRMAN MESERVE: Thank you. [Whereupon, the affirmation session was concluded.]
