	The Commission met in open session, pursuant to notice, at 9:30 a.m.,

the Honorable RICHARD A.

MESERVE, Chairman of the Commission, presiding.

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:

P R O C E E D I N G S

[9:30 a.m.]

	CHAIRMAN MESERVE:  Good morning.

	Before we get to the business of the day, we do have an affirmation

session that we need to

complete.

	Madam Secretary, could you lead us through the affirmation?

	THE SECRETARY:  Yes.

	The Commission is being asked to act on a memorandum and order

responding to petitions to intervene

and requests for hearing filed by Citizens Awareness Network and the Vermont

Department of Public Service,

and also ruling on various CAN motions related to the proposed transfer of the

Vermont Yankee facility from

the Vermont Yankee Power Corporation to Amergen Vermont, LLC.

	The Commission has voted to approve a memorandum and order which denies

CAN's petition to intervene

and request for hearing, denies Vermont's petition for intervene and request

for hearing, dismisses as moot

CAN's various requests for stay of the instant proceeding, denies CAN's motion

that any hearing be

conducted under 10 CFR, Part 2, subpart G, and terminates this adjudicatory

proceeding.
