CHAIRMAN MESERVE: Good morning. We have one
affirmation matter to handle first. Madam Secretary, would
you proceed?
SECRETARY VIETTI-COOK: The Commission is being
asked to act on a memorandum and order related to a license
amendment application filed by Carolina Power & Light to
increase the spent fuel storage capacity at its Shearon
Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
Orange County has filed a petition with the
Commission for interlocutory review of Atomic Safety and
Licensing Board issuance LPB0012. The Commission has voted
to approve a memorandum and order which dismisses, without
prejudice, Orange County's petition for review on the ground
that it was prematurely filed.
Please affirm your votes.
[Chorus of ayes.]
SECRETARY VIETTI-COOK: That's all I have.
CHAIRMAN MESERVE: Thank you, Madam Secretary.
[Whereupon, at 9:30 a.m., the affirmation session
was concluded.]
