I.    SECY-00-0193 - Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corp. & Amergen Vermont, LLC, Docket No. 50-271-LT. Petitions to Intervene & Motions for Hearing from Citizens Awareness Network ("CAN") and Vermont Department of Public Service ("Vermont"); Also Various Motions by CAN

The Commission approved a Memorandum and Order responding to Petitions to Intervene and Requests for Hearing filed by Citizens Awareness Network (CAN) and the Vermont Department of Public Service (Vermont) and also ruling on various CAN motions related to the proposed transfer of the Vermont Yankee facility from the Vermont Yankee Power Corporation to AmerGen Vermont LLC. The Memorandum and Order denies CAN's petition to intervene and request for hearing; denies Vermont's petition to intervene and request for hearing; dismisses as moot CAN's various requests for a stay of the instant proceeding; denies CAN's motion that any hearing be conducted under 10 CFR Part 2, Subpart G; and terminates this adjudicatory proceeding.

(Subsequently, on October 6, 2000, the Secretary signed the Memorandum and Order.)
