Langlade County |
Langlade County is located in northeast Wisconsin and was originally part of the Northwest Territory. In 1879 the Wisconsin Legislature created Langlade County out of Lincoln and Oconto Counties and called it "New County." The name was changed to Langlade County in 1880 in honor of Charles de Langlade, a renowned pioneer of the 1700s. The county seat is Antigo.
