Having separated from Los Angeles and Santa Ana counties in 1889, Orange County’s name references what was once a predominant citrus fruit industry. Plentiful rows of Orange trees lined the county during each season. As time passed, settlers moved south towards its pristine beaches and a farming industry grew. Over the decades, Orange County has developed into a vibrant tourist attraction. Still, it has yet to interfere with the unique culture of the local people who are proud it call Orange County home.
