Contracting

Contracts with the Northern California Province fill a variety of needs for the Forest Service and provide economic opportunities for many types of businesses.

The Forest Service no longer maintains general 'bidders list'. All current and potential government contractors are currently required to enroll in Central Contractor Registration to be awarded contracts by any government agency.

Project Activity Levels (PAL) are a daily measure of fire weather conditions and, at certain levels, restrict activities otherwise permitted on the Forest. On weekends, please call (530) 935-7758 after 5:00 p.m., for the current activity level.

You may find information about Surplus Property and Vehicle Auctions on the GovSales.gov page or the General Services Administration Auctions web site or for local public auction dates and locations, please visit the Pacific Southwest Region Auction site.

Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which can be found in Title 5 of the United States Code, section 552, was enacted in 1966 and provides that any person has the right to request access to federal agency records or information.

Pending Regulations and Legislation

Regulations.gov is the U.S. Government web site that makes it easier for you to participate in Federal rulemaking - an essential part of the American democratic process.
