Functional Description NOMADS support the introduction of new cases, all public assistance and child support case management activities and archive of historical case information. 
Interfaces NOMADS interfaces with many external entities such as Department of Motor Vehicles, Financial Institutions, Social Security Administration, U.S. Treasury to name a few.

Application Future Plans The Welfare Division is planning new application development with a server-based focus and plans to distribute data between the mainframe DB2 and server based UDB environments. 
Other Relevant Information NOMADS has over 11 million lines of written code with over 78 million mega-bytes of stored data.

Planning The Welfare Division employs 17 contractors to assist with the maintenance and operations of the NOMADS system.
