Functional Description	KAMES is an integrated statewide system that supports casework and reporting functions for both the Food Stamp and Income Maintenance programs. The system displays a daily updated case status menu to the worker each day when sign on occurs. A menu of functions supports applications, re-certifications, case changes, inquiry, child support interface, management reports and appointment scheduling.
Interfaces	KAMES exchanges data with MMIS ( Department for Medicaid Services) on recipient eligibility through a batch interface. KAMES interfaces with KASES (Division of Child Support Enforcement) both on-line and in batch. The Claims system interface provides KAMES with information regarding over-issuances for purposes of benefit reduction. KAMES interfaces with two other systems that support Employment and Training Program for Food Stamps and STEP program for TANF.KAMES interfaces with Disqualified Recipient Subsystem (DRS) to pass and receive IPV information. KAMES verifies social security numbers with SVES interface.
