Functional Description JAS allows the tracking of TANF recipients as each participates in work activities. The system captures demographic information, case level data, member level data and hours of participation by specific work activity. JAS is used to calculate federal participation rates and to provide data for TANF data collection. JAS allows the authorization and payment of reimbursements to TANF recipients for supportive services necessary to participate in their assigned activities.
