Functional Description |
The federal agency (the Children?s Bureau) provides grants to States, Tribes and communities to operate a range of child welfare services including child protective services (CPS), family preservation and support, foster care, adoption and independent living. |
Interfaces |
The Child Welfare Program is not heavily dependent on automated interfaces in New Mexico. The attorneys are in-house staff and there is no reliance on district attorneys. Although some of the investigative information is stored on external systems, the attorneys still have most of the information in hard copy files as well. Child Welfare does have an interface with Medicaid related to foster care eligibility. The Joint Accounting System (JAS)Family Nutrition Programs MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System)JAS has an interface with the Central Financial Accounting System (CRFRAS) at the New Mexico Department of Finance.External InterfacesDOJ (Probation, Family, Juvenile)MedicaidSSALocal Benefits IssuanceDept. of CorrectionsLaw EnforcementFinancial InstitutionsVendor systems (process, coll/disb front-end systems, finger imaging)PurchasingState Treasury |
