Functional Description |
Clients may apply either at the Public Assistance office or, if they live in remote areas, to fee agents who are members of the community who volunteer their services. Fee agents conduct the face to face interview and collect the critical information. The eligibility determination is completed in Juneau. Those who apply in the office complete a face to face interview and supply eligibility information. The caseworkers look at financial and non-financial criteria for all programs. The TANF client is referred to a work activity. They go to a service provider to start their Work First activity in urban areas. Work activities are monitored through the Job Accounting System (JAS) and Eligibility Information System (EIS). |
