Functional Description |
State employees deliver the Montana CSE program services through five regional field offices. The division is organized into four bureaus: administrative, field services, legal services, and law judges. Montana is an administrative State for CSE and therefore does not rely on external judges for case establishment functions. Payment processing for child support collections is performed at the central office level in Helena. State employees of the CSED perform the intake or locate, case establishment, and case maintenance functions for the CSE program in Montana. The intake function is performed to gather information to provide child support services, and the locate function is performed to locate the absent parent.The financial functions for CSED are carried out by the payment processing unit and include interfaces with both the State accounting system and the internal financial section. |
