Functional Description The Child Care program is administered by the Louisiana Department of Social Services (DSS) through the Office of Family Support (OFS). Direct service delivery is linked with the financial assistance programs through regional office operations. All of the central office and parish-level staff are State employees.Administratively, the Department?s Child Care program is housed in the Find Work/Child Care Division in OFS. The program is closely aligned with the Financial Services programs it supports and also with child care licensing functions, which are highly important to the Child Care program.
