Functional Description |
The Division of Family Development (DFD) oversees implementation and management of WFNJ by County Welfare Agencies (CWAs) and municipal welfare agencies. WFNJ programs administered include TANF, General Assistance, Emergency Assistance and Child Care (for TANF recipients).Daily and monthly issuance files are generated and sent to the EBT vendor. The $50 pass-through file from Automated Child Support Enforcement System (ACSES) is received monthly and included in the EBT file.The state (Labor and Work Development)engages vendors for NJ Employment Services (work readiness assessments, etc.) and Early Employment Initiative (job search, welfare avoidance grant, transitional services). |

OMEGA - mandatory participation in work activities (indicated in FAMIS) generates an electronic referral to OMEGA. Creates skeleton records and generates notices. FAMIS interfaces with OMEGA, sharing information including demographics, grant amount, household size, etc. |
