Functional Description TIPS is a computerized on-line statewide interagency information management and payment system which is capable of tracking client information and generating payments for the Office Of Community Services (OCS) clients. The TIPS system serves as Louisiana?s mandated Central Registry and the Louisiana Adoption Resource Exchange (LARE).

Application Future Plans Possible database platform change required due to standards being set by Statewide Chief Information Officer. Louisiana is in the process of developing a Department-wide enterprise system: ACESS - A Comprehensive Enterprise Social Services System. This system is to include a certified SACWIS and is expected to be operational May 2007.
