Functional Description	This is a CICS VSAM system that is integrated with an ADABAS system to allow for a single point of identification of all clients. The user(worker) is allowed to identify household members, enter daycare need, enter other required information and the system then calculates the appropriate amount to be paid by both the State and the client. The system allows for entry of Provider request for payments and automatically deducts the client co-pay from this request issuing a payment either electronically or paper to the Provider.
Interfaces	The system exchanges the client demographic information with the Statewide system such as Food stamp, TANF, and Child Support to ensure that the client has a single identifier through State agencies.

Application Future Plans	The Office of Child Care Services is in the Planning stages of a Web process that will allow the Child Care Providers to directly input their Billing information via a web form. This process will greatly decrease the staff time for ?encoding? a ?claim? for payment.
