Functional Description TANF Data Collection System allows for county inputted additional information requested on selected EIS sample cases. The selected EIS Cases that are identified for sampling are matched against the Client Data Warehouse and then loaded into this system on a monthly basis. The county with supervising authority then is required to input the additional requested information of the case. Upon completion of all the sampled cases, the state program staff will export the inputted data back to the Client Data Warehouse for reporting to the Federal Government. Those federal reports are outside the scope of this application which only collects and outputs the raw data.
Interfaces The loading of sample data starts with reading an ascii-formatted file supplied by the program staff and matching each case via ODBC SQL queries against the Client Data Warehouse. Completed inputted sampling data is then exported in an ascii-formated file and transferred via FTP to a Client Data Warehouse server to be used in a reporting process not included in the scope of this project.
