Functional Description	CIS supports the program by providing functions that capture information on individuals who apply for assistance, determine eligibility for assistance and benefit amounts, produce client notices, generate benefits, maintain historical information, and fulfill state and federal reporting requirements. It supports caseworkers in all facets of managing their caseload.
Interfaces	There are more than 40 data exchanges with other systems, including those of the Social Security Administration, Internal Revenue System, numerous State agencies, numerous Employment and Training Contractors, Managed Care providers, J.P. Morgan Electronic Financial Services (Electronic Funds Transfer), Medicaid processing, PA Child Support System, and others.
