CCAMIS supports the Child Care Administration`s basic business functions related to the delivery and management of child care services in the State of Maryland. This includes: Purchase of Care (determination of eligibilty, case management, voucher issuance, voucher receipt); Provider Invoice Processing, Resource Management; Provider Licensing and Registration; Resource and Referral Services |

Data is supplied from CCAMIS to the following agencies: National Center for Children in Poverty- Monthly file of active POC families, children, providers and vouchers payments. RESI- Monthly file of active cases, vouchers, providers paid and invoices paid. CIS/FIA- Monthly file of informal provideers receiving payment for child care services. Federal Reporting of the ACF-801- Monthly file of family, children and child care setting.
Maryland School of Social Work- Monthly file (same as RESI). Office of Inspector General- Quarterly file of Families receiving POC subsidies, providers and provider payment data. Montgomery County-Monthly file of families receiving POC in Montgomery County. To transmit files, the data files are FTP`ed to a dataset at the mainframe or to a PC to be E-Mailed. |

The Department of Human Resources Office of Technology for Human Services is acquiring a new turnkey management information system for the Child Care Administration. The new system shall incorporate the capture, processing transmission, storage and retrieval of information on the child community, which includes licensing, credentialing, and purchase of care. The new system, which is under development, has been given the name Child Care Administration Tracking System (CCATS)
This system shall use we-enabled technology, shall Internet access capability and shall accommodate simultaneously 1,500 workers and 2, 00 Internet users. The system shall also be able to handle a 15 percent annual growth for the duration of the system?s life cycle without performance degradation.
The system shall have sound programming, system, database and network design and configuration, fast response times and easy data entry. The systems, processes and information shall be straightforward so that they are easily accessible to parents, childcare providers, case managers, Child Care Administration (CCA) staff members and the taxpayers via the internet.
The system shall be turnkey; developed and implemented rapidly over no more than two years. Credentialling functionally shall be developed and rolled out first, as this is the most critical need for automation. |
