Functional Description ACES supports the Federal Food Stamp Program as well as the State Food Assistance Program. Users screen in new cases and can schedule appointments. All intake eligibility is determined in ACES as well as on-going eligibility determinations. ACES supports eligibility determinations via on-line changes as well as overnight automated case maintenance. ACES issues all payments via EBT, creates alerts for the users, pulls the QA samples, creates letters, creates reports and interfaces with several other systems. ACES also automatically opens food stamps when SSI is approved.

Application Future Plans Plans include migrating the front end screens to a graphical user interface (GUI). State and federal system changes are ongoing. These included changes to the General Assistance, TANF, Food Assistance and Medical Assistance programs. Changes are triggered by law and policy changes along with requests to improve worker efficiency and client service.
