Functional Description |
This application reports to the Federal Government the cost of child care provided by vendors and paid by grants to the state for working public assistance clients. The State of Georgia?s Child Care program is administered by the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in the Georgia Department of Human Resources. The Economic Support Services (ESS) Section of DFCS is responsible for program administration for the Child Care program, including policy and procedure development and guidance for the program. Georgia?s Child Care program is state administered and county operated. The delivery of child care services, including intake, eligibility, case maintenance, and vouchering/payment for child care, is the responsibility of 159 County Directors and their staff. These County Directors report to 13 field coordinators who report to the section director for the Field Coordination Section. |
