Functional Description System will include: Waiting List, Eligibility, Case Management, Provider Management, Claim Processing, Payment processing, budget management; on-line access to info for providers and families. 
Interfaces System will receive information from MAXIS (state system for Cash Assistance, Food Stamps and Medical programs) and Provider Licensing system. It will exchange information with PRISM (state?s Child Support Enforcement system).

Application Future Plans The following enhancements are currently being considered for MEC2: The Integration of the Child Care Licensing function and Provider Database, Integration of Child Care Resource and Referral System, Collaboration with the Child and Adult Care Food Program for the issuance of payments to Providers and coordination of services.Timelines for these initiative have not been set. 
Other Relevant Information System will be Web Based. All processing and data will reside at central location controlled by responsible agency. Access will be strictly controlled and most users will connect via dedicated state owned network.
