Projects on Tribal Lands
The Tribal Energy Program supports a variety of energy-related projects on tribal lands. Through these projects, tribes have built the institutional capacity to manage their energy needs, assessed the feasibility of energy efficiency and renewable energy installations, and have demonstrated the viability of installing renewable energy systems on tribal lands.
To see a list of tribal energy projects by location, select a state on the map below. Alternatively, choose one of the links in the left column to see a list of projects by tribe, by the year in which the project was initially funded, by the type of award (feasibility study, demonstration project, etc.), and by the technology used (wind, solar, biomass, etc.).
Each project has a detailed description that includes a tribal contact for more information.
To learn more about the Tribal Energy Program, or for additional information about a particular project, contact the DOE project officer.
