Howard University, Washington, DC Taught General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Molecular Structure courses. Conducted NASA- and AFOSR-funded research on high resolution infrared laser spectroscopy with graduate and advanced undergraduate students. As a member of the NSF-funded Materials Science Research Center of Excellence, participated in interdisciplinary research involving thin film growth of III-V materials and the use of infrared laser spectroscopy as an in situ probe of chemical vapor deposition processes. Professional Activities: Member of the American Physical Society (APS), National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE), and the American Chemical Society (ACS). Past-chair of the Committee on Minorities of the APS. Current member of the Committee on Minority Affairs of the ACS.
