WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield (KY-01) stood up for Kentucky taxpayers already hit hard by the economic recession today, voting against an expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) which would allow illegal immigrants to fraudulently enroll in the program; move hundreds of thousands of people from private insurance to government-run healthcare; and increase tobacco taxes by over $70 billion over the next ten years. |
