As a Senior Member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Education, Congressman Hoyer has gained tremendous experience on education issues. Congressman Hoyer introduced the Full Service Community Schools Act, modeled after the highly successful Judy Centers throughout Maryland, that would provide funding for public elementary or secondary schools that coordinate multiple educational and social service programs in partnerships with school districts, community-based organizations and public/private partnerships.
