April 16, 2007, WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Bart Gordon has set aside Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27 for Middle Tennessee residents to call him toll free to discuss issues facing Congress or problems they are having with federal agencies.
“My number one priority is staying in touch with the people who elected me to Congress,” said Gordon. “My best advice comes from home.”
Middle Tennesseans can contact Gordon by dialing (866) 467-2129. The toll free phone line will be active from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 27.
“I hope people will call to let me know what issues are important to them,” said Gordon. “I also want them to help if they are having problems with any federal agencies.”
Gordon, the dean of Tennessee’s congressional delegation, is the chairman of the House Science and Technology Committee and a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
