U.S. Chamber of Commerce Honors Gordon

April 18, 2007, WASHINGTON – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce awarded U.S. Rep. Bart Gordon its Spirit of Enterprise award for his support of key business issues during last year’s session of Congress.

“A strong business community is vital to our country’s economic prosperity,” said Gordon, who serves as a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Chairman of the House Science and Technology Committee. “I am happy to receive this honor from the U.S. Chamber.”

The Spirit of Enterprise award is given annually to members of Congress who support legislation that would increase jobs and promote economic growth.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business association, representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations.
