U.S. Department of Energy to Hold Public Meetings Regarding the EISA 2007 Section 136 Advanced Technology Vehicles Loan Program (ATVMLP)

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will hold public meetings regarding the EISA 2007 Section 136 Advanced Technology Vehicles Loan Program (ATVMLP), as published in the Federal Register on November 21, 2008. The public hearings will be held at DOE on December 1, 2008 and December 5, 2008 for the purpose of addressing inquiries from potential loan applicants regarding the ATVMLP’s Interim Final Rule as published in the Federal Register, 73 FR 66721, on November 12, 2008.

MEDIA INSTRUCTIONS:

Registration: Press wishing to cover the public hearing must pre-register for building access to Kristin Brown (Kristin.Brown@HQ.DOE.GOV) by 12:00 p.m. EST (Noon) on Friday, November 28, 2008.
Press Check-In: Members of the media who have pre-registered should arrive at the Main Entrance of DOE between 9:00 EST AM and 9:30 AM EST for security sweep and escort to coverage location. Media must present a valid media credential and government-issued photo ID on site.
