In 2007, most individuals (87.9 percent) who were arrested in metropolitan counties were age 18 and over.
Nearly 28 percent (27.8) of those arrested in metropolitan counties in 2007 were between the ages of 18 and 24.
Fourteen percent of arrestees for violent crimes in metropolitan counties were juveniles (those under age 18). Juveniles also accounted for 23.5 percent of arrestees for property crimes in metropolitan counties.
Arrests for driving under the influence accounted for 13.6 percent of all arrests in metropolitan counties in 2007. Drug abuse violations accounted for 12.6 percent of arrests.
