In 2007, 18.8 percent of the females arrested were under the age of 18, and another 17.3 percent were between the ages of 18 and 21.
Adults (individuals 18 years of age and older) accounted for 84.5 percent of the females arrested for violent crimes and 73.0 percent of the females arrested for property crimes.
Overall, larceny-theft was the offense for which females were arrested most, accounting for 13.9 percent of all reported arrests of females.
Of the females arrested for arson offenses, juveniles (persons under age 18) comprised 35.7 percent of the total.
