1 Prior to FY 2007, NASA linked the Applied Sciences and the Education and Outreach programs to USGCRP Focus Areas, but not to CCSP research
elements; the current table identifies these programs as contributing to the CCSP Human Contributions and Responses element for the three fiscal
years addressed.
2 NASA has revised the set of projects it counts as supporting CCRI. The funding levels presented include activities that were previously not counted,
including portions of the High-End Computing and Scientific Computing projects. The funding decrease from 2007 to 2008 is primarily due to the
planned ramp-down of resources for the Glory mission, a major contributor to NASA CCRI funding, which is completing development in preparation for
a December 2008 launch.
3 Activities in the Federal Aviation Administration – Research, Engineering, and Development account have been included under CCRI in past. Due to
changes in CCSP/CCRI activities and priorities and changes within DOT, these activities are no longer considered part of CCRI.
Note: Any minor discrepancies within this table and between this table and others are due to rounding.
