Biographical Sketch: Marion Zatz, Ph.D.
Dr. Zatz is chief of the Developmental and Cellular Processes Branch in the NIGMS Division of Genetics and Developmental Biology. In this position, she manages grants that support research in the areas of cell cycle control, programmed cell death, and human embryonic stem cells. In addition, Dr. Zatz manages interdisciplinary predoctoral training grants that foster training of biomedical scientists in cellular, molecular and biochemical sciences. She devotes special attention to the role of training grants in increasing the representation of minorities in biomedical research careers.
