Biographical Sketch: John Norvell, Ph.D.

Dr. Norvell is a program director with a specialty in structural biology and computational biology. He directs the NIGMS Protein Structure Initiative, a program aimed at dramatically reducing the costs and lessening the time it takes to determine a three-dimensional protein structure.

Before joining NIH, Norvell conducted research in protein crystallography at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and at the Brookhaven National Laborator
