Arkansas
Arkansas relies on coal to provide roughly half of its electricity. To help reduce emissions, with the help of grants from the Department of Energy, Arkansas has joined several of its neighbors in forming the Southeast Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership. Arkansas is also home to the Arkansas Nuclear One Power Plant, which accounts for almost a third of the state’s electric production. |
