Many students with disabilities experience serious challenges in obtaining employment and integrating into their communities following high school completion. Through this program, the Institute intends to support research focusing on the development and evaluation of (a) interventions that promote functional skills that allow young adults to obtain and hold jobs, to live independently, and to become contributing members of their communities; and (b) communities of support and care designed to support and enhance employment of students with disabilities during secondary and post-secondary transition.
