Washington, May 5 - Today, Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded the Waterloo Regional Airport two grants for airport improvements.

The funds will be used for planning and rehabilitation purposes.   $218,595 will be used to update the airport’s Master Plan Study and $523,011 will be used to rehabilitate the airport’s apron and ramp area.

“I’m happy to see the Waterloo Airport awarded these grants,” Rep. Braley said.  “Improving the Waterloo airport will better serve the transportation needs of the Cedar Valley.  Investing in regional infrastructure helps strengthen the economy of Iowa towns and cities.”
